Austin Newborn Baby Photo Shoot at Silver Bee Photography

This sweet little one is the perfect addition to her mom dad.  They are so in love with their baby girl and each other.  It’s amazing to see this happen and brings me such joy!!  If you are interested in having a newborn photo shoot, contact me now for all the details!

There are a few things you can do before the session to prepare so that we can have a variety of images with your sweet baby.

Feeding Schedule:

Be sure that your baby is well-fed before the session to keep them happy during the shoot. A full tummy leads to a happier and sleepier baby. I recommend a full feed just before coming to the session, or at least a top off to keep them comfy.

Dressing Your Baby:

Choose simple, easy-to-remove outfits to travel in. If your baby arrives sleeping it is easier to get them posed without taking off a complicated outfit. Keep in mind that newborns may not fit into all outfits comfortably, so have a few options ready. Just a simple snap or zip onesie is perfect.

Be Patient:

Newborn photography sessions can take time, every baby is different. Be prepared for snacks, diaper changes, and feeding pauses. I work at the baby’s pace to ensure their comfort. The prep tips will help with easy transitions.

Bring Essentials:

Have essentials like diapers, wipes, extra newborn outfits, and pacifiers on hand in case of accidents or fussiness. I have a variety fo diapers, but if you prefer a certain brand you are welcome to bring some along.

Relax and Enjoy:

Keep a calm and relaxed atmosphere during our session. Babies can sense tension, especially from their mama, so try to enjoy the experience. Trust my photography expertise to capture beautiful moments. Most parents at the end of our session commented on how relaxed they felt during the photo session. I get a lot of thank you for a break and a cat nap.

Remember that newborns can be unpredictable. Every baby is different, so flexibility and patience are key. I’m very good at figuring out what they will like and not like in the first few minutes. Some are ready to go and some need a little cuddle before getting settled. Gotta say, I do love the baby cuddles. A well-prepared and experienced photographer will help you create beautiful memories of your newborn that you’ll cherish for years to come.
